Our Story
Sangam Nasha Mukti Kendra was founded in 2010 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh by Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma — a psychiatrist with a vision to bridge the massive gap in quality addiction treatment available to the people of North India. At that time, professional rehabilitation services in UP and Bihar were almost non-existent outside major metros, leaving millions of families without help.
Starting with a small facility and a dedicated team of three, Dr. Sharma and his colleagues built Sangam Nasha Mukti Kendra on the principles of dignity, evidence-based treatment, and family inclusion. The results were immediate and powerful — patients who had failed at other centres found lasting recovery here.
Word spread. From Varanasi, we expanded to Patna, then Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Allahabad. Today, Sangam Nasha Mukti Kendra serves patients from 25 cities across UP and Bihar, with a team of 4 qualified doctors, 8 certified counsellors, and 20+ support staff dedicated to patient recovery.
Over 5000 patients have gone through our programs. Thousands of families have been rebuilt. And every day, our team continues the work that started with one doctor's vision: that every person who struggles with addiction deserves world-class care.
